  • How can I get a DISCOUNT?

  • What's the tipping etiquette? Is it expected?
    No, tipping is not expected.
  • How do I pay for the service?
    You will receive a invoice for the cleaning job you have requested. Our preferred payment method is e-transfer sent to info@nanaimocleaning.com
  • Why is my service fee higher than what was estimated on the website?
    Sometimes during the FREE In-Home Consultation there are Special Requests made by the client, that go beyond the standard clean. We are happy to assist you with these but it may alter the price. Another situation is where the home requires additional hours of work to achieve the required Standard of Clean. Either way, these changes are discussed during the consultation and documented in the quotation/invoice - we are fully transparent so that there are no surprises!
  • What cities do you work in?
    We service the Nanaimo District, from Lantzville to Chase River. However, for special cases we are licensed to operate in the following municipalities: CENTRAL - Nanaimo; Ladysmith; Parksville, Qualicum Beach; Lantzville; Port Alberni; Duncan; North Cowichan; and Lake Cowichan. SOUTH - City of Victoria; Esquimalt; Sooke; Central Saanich; North Saanich; and Sidney. NORTH - Campbell River, Courtney; Comox; and Cumberland.
  • After the cleaner finished, why were there some areas not cleaned?
    The main reason for an area not being cleaned is that clients are required to remove incidential personal items from the top of surfaces (ie., floors, shower units, dressers, countertops) so that the cleaners can access and thoroughly clean that surface. STB Cleaning Services respects the privacy of personal effects and belongings.
  • What if I need to cancel my appointment?
    We understand that life can throw you a curve ball. If you find yourself in a position that you have to cancel please call us ASAP, (236) 544-0100. An administration fee of $50 may apply if cancelled beyond 24 hours of start time and the full service fee if cancelled within 24 hours.
  • Do I need to supply my own cleaning equipment and supplies?
    No, our cleaners will arrive with all the necessary cleaning products and equipment. STB Cleaning Services only uses 100% eco-friendly products.
  • What if I have an issue with some aspect of the clean or the cleaner?
    Please call (236) 544-0100 and ask to speak with the Co-Founder and Operations Manager, Bruce Barnard. He will listen to your concern and have the matter dealt with immediately. Rest assured that all cleaning projects and jobs are 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed.
  • What are your hours of operation?
    The office is open Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm. Closed weekends and public holidays. In case of an emergency outside of working hours please call (250) 618 0512.
  • Are there some cleaning tasks that you just don't do?
    We are home and office cleaning professionals, trained and licensed to work under "average conditions". All quotations provided are assumed from an average state of cleanliness where hygiene appears to be maintained through tidying and cleaning. STB Cleaning Services does not clean mold, asbestos products, rodents, bed bugs, move heavy furniture (eg., fridges), put away dishes, personal items, soot, smoke damage or any other severe condition(s). In the event that the property is compromised with these or similar severe conditions the cleaner shall leave that area alone or leave the property completely. We reserve the right to reject your job upon arrival should the property be compromised. We do charge 100% of the service fee for our time reserved for your job. If you require a Special Request, you will need to call ahead for approval at least 48 hours in advance.
  • I have pets. Is that okay that they stay while my home is being cleaned?
    All reactive pets, including cats and dogs, are to be safely contained while services are being rendered.
