How do we accomplish consistent Quality?
Through a quality control program comprised of hiring, training, inspections and communications. As your full-service cleaning provider, and we feel it is our responsibility to directly hire, train and supervise our people to complete the cleaning tasks you ask of us in an earnest, hard working manner.

We carefully choose the best and most natural cleaning products that give amazing results. We provide training to all our staff in order to ensure the highest and most consistent standard of service. We stay up-to-date on the latest innovations in eco-friendly products and technologies, allowing us to bring the best into our clients’ homes, businesses and buildings. We use only non-toxic and non-hazardous products that are safe for children, pets and the environment.
Best practice in the time of COVID, to avoid cross contamination - we use medical grade HEPA filters (new filters after ever job and we disinfect all cleaning equipment and supplies after each job. We take this pandemic very seriously.
Our Staff and the Teams that we build to work at Simply the Best are our proudest assets. We invest in our Teams and it starts at the recruitment level, where all staff undergo a rigorous 3 Stage recruitment process. Stage 1 - we attract employees who share our Corporate Ethos and work ethic, have a solid employment record in the industry, and have a clean Police Record. Stage 2 - for those employees who advance to this stage are then taken under the wing of the Service Manager who initiates the training - first in the office, and then in the field. Employees are then placed in Teams that best suit their abilities and interest. Stage 3 - ongoing performance reviews and inspection audits. Rest assured that when a Team enters your premises they are vetted, trained, supervised and are on top of their game, they are Simply the Best employees.

They say "do something you love and you'll never work a day in your life" and that's exactly how I feel as I approach every job and client at Simply The Best Cleaning Services (STB). I light up when I come to work and greet my Teams in the morning and then seeing the smiles on the faces of those who have entrusted us with their properties, homes, dreams and aspirations. It is what I was made to do! Prior to co-founding the business, I worked at the BC Liquor Board and Vancity Credit Union. Both careers were rewarding but missed something, and that longing was fast alleviated after gaining the insight and courage to put my lifelong passion of cleaning and small business entrepreneurship together. The opportunity truly got traction with the injection of business acumen from my business partner and Co-founder.
At STB, I am primarily responsible for service quality control, which includes cleaning products, cleaning methodology, staff training, service delivery standards, performance reviews, random on-site audits, and client consultation regarding service delivery and quality. I stand by my Teams and I have put my reputation on the line to guarantee that you WILL receive the agreed level of service, and have that happy customer smile on your face.
People quickly get to realize why I am so committed to the standard of cleaning I expect of myself and of my Teams. A little insight.... many say I have a little OCD, Obsessive-Compulsory Disorder, it's funny because I don't see it. However, my business partner said it was the deciding factor behind going into partnership with me - he saw and recognized the asset within. In fact he wanted to call the business OCD Cleaning Services, with the tagline of "Nobody Cleans Like An OCD Cleaner", I talked him out of that, but the sentiment speaks for itself.

Operations Manager & Co-Founder.
I hail from Australia, and ventured upon Vancouver Island as a part of a round the world trip in 2003, I loved it so much that I stayed. Prior to Nanaimo, I worked in the Australian High Performance Sports System for 20+ years working with world class athletes, administrators, and organizations, in the pursuit of excellence in human performance. From 2003, I started a successful commercial business venture which wrapped up as I co-founded and launched Simply The Best (STB).
Having not looked at my resume for years, I pulled it out as a reference for this Bio, and highlighted in bold was my top skill set - Organizational Development. My career path has always revolved around developing and managing efficient and effective organizational teams and work practices. I thrive in busy and challenging business environments and naturally lead in high morale teams. I am stoked to apply all this knowledge and experience in the success and prosperity of STB.
At STB, I am primarily responsible for scheduling, HR and payroll, marketing, governance and compliance, and customer inquiries. I work very closely with Renee as Service Manager to provide a 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed service. Together, I think we make the best management team available in the industry, she's a little OCD and I'm... well... white collar!!
